Hello, my name is Tina Wexler.

For the past decade, I worked as a physician, dedicating the last five years to Palliative Care in the Bronx, NY. I deeply valued the work, but I repeatedly witnessed the limitations of the traditional healthcare system in addressing the complex emotional, practical, and spiritual aspects of serious illness planning and end-of-life care.

I saw critical gaps—the need for comprehensive, non-medical support that places the client's values and quality of life first. This experience fueled my decision to transition into community-based coaching and doula work.

My Philosophy: Making Death "Better"

I will never tell you that your death should be "good". Losing a loved one or facing your own mortality is always difficult for everyone involved.

However, I fundamentally believe that death can be better.

My work is founded on the belief that providing space for advanced planning, celebration, and mourning lifts a tremendous burden. My professional experience (as well as the medical and other studies) consistently proves that early, intentional discussions ensure known wishes and values are honored, bringing clarity and calm to the person dying and their loved ones. Talking is just as, if not more, important than paperwork.

My Unique Expertise

I now offer non-medical support, uniquely informed by professional medical expertise.

• Palliative Care Doctor (MD): My decade of practice means I "speak the language" of the healthcare system. I use this knowledge to help you plan your care and effectively advocate for your wishes.

• Certified End-of-Life Doula: I have completed formal Death Doula training and am a proud member of the National End of Life Doula Alliance (NEDA).

• Community Advocate: I also volunteer as a healthcare advocate for people with chronic illness, further grounding my practice in patient empowerment.

My wish is to step fully into this non-medical role, supporting you and your family through all phases of this process—from diagnosis to bereavement.
